As part of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, IFA Paris proudly announces the Sustainable Fashion Marathon, labelled a Cultural Olympiad by the 2024 Games. Scheduled for the weekend of 8 and 9 June, this event will take place in a prestigious setting, the Mona Bismarck private mansion, located at 34 Avenue de New-York in the 16th arrondissement, offering a breathtaking view of the Eiffel Tower.

The Sustainable Fashion Marathon is much more than just a fashion gathering; it represents a celebration of the convergence between fashion, sports, and sustainability. By focusing on fundamental values such as circularity and inclusion, IFA Paris aims to raise awareness and inspire both fashion enthusiasts and future designers to adopt an environmentally friendly lifestyle.
The weekend promises to be rich in captivating activities, offering participants total immersion into the world of sustainable fashion. Here's an overview of the program:
Saturday, June 8th
From 11:00 am to 12:00 pm: don't miss our Roundtable #1 on the theme: "Fashion & Sport: The Streetwear Trend". On this occasion, discover how fashion and sports intersect in streetwear, blending style and functionality to create looks that are both sporty and elegant.
From 11:00 am to 3:00 pm: Come see us with your sneakers; we are organizing a free workshop for renovation and customization of sneakers!
From 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm: it will be time to gather for our second roundtable on "Technology and Ecology, the Future". You'll see how to explore the technological and ecological innovations shaping the future of the fashion industry and how these advancements can contribute to a more sustainable future.
And of course, we have many activities reserved for you from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, such as:
- The start of the sustainable fashion marathon: 10 groups will put their passion and skills into creating sustainable looks.
- The exhibition of the 6 sets from the Ethical Fashion Triathlon created by IFA Paris students.
- A real Job Offer Wall organized by Fashion Jobs highlighting positions in the fashion sector, the ideal place to access jobs or internships in the fashion sector.
Sunday, June 9th
From 11:00 am to 12:00 pm: we look forward to seeing you for our third Roundtable: "Career Focus". You'll delve into the backstage of the fashion industry and explore the various professions that make it up, from designers to marketing specialists to sustainability experts.
At 5:00 pm, we invite you to our runway show featuring looks created during the Sustainable Fashion Marathon, a moment that promises some beautiful surprises!
From 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm: it will be time to toast with a drink and enjoy a DJ set.
The Sustainable Fashion Marathon thus offers a unique platform to discover emerging trends in reducing impact while encouraging innovation and creativity in an environmentally respectful spirit.

Fashion Buying Internship: Emma Duflot at Galeries Lafayette
A Bachelor Fashion Marketing & Management student at IFA Paris, Emma Duflot is currently completing her internship at Galeries Lafayette as a Buying Assistant. It is a strategic immersion within one of France’s leading retail players, where every decision shapes the in-store product offering.
Within the buying team, she contributes to developing buying plans, prepares meetings with brands, and analyzes product performance. This experience allows her to discover the behind-the-scenes reality of a role that is at once creative, analytical, and strategic.
Through this interview, Emma reflects on her responsibilities, the skills she has developed during her internship, and how her education at IFA Paris prepared her to thrive in such a demanding environment.

Joey Martin x IFA Paris Students: Redefining Menswear Design
How do you design a menswear collection when working within the framework of an existing brand? This is the challenge given to second-year students in the
Bachelor in Fashion Design at IFA Paris through the Menswear module, developed in collaboration with the French brand
Joey Martin’s.
During this module, students analyze the brand’s universe and study its market positioning in order to understand its codes and propose a credible extension of its menswear identity.
The objective: to design a cohesive mini-collection structured around an iconic piece of the men’s wardrobe : the tailored jacket.
