The Postgraduate programs in Fashion Designing & Creativity at IFA Paris Fashion School are open to both students and professionals wishing to return to their studies.
The Postgraduate Programs are open to students who have completed their Bachelor's degree at IFA Paris and to students from other fashion schools. Advanced Studies aim to help students develop their own creative identity and gain perspective in relation to their professional experience. It also enables them to develop a level of expertise in their chosen field and explore different ways of expressing their creativity.
Postgraduate - Year 1
If you enrol in a Postgraduate Program, you are likely to become a manager in the creative departments of fashion houses or create your fashion brand. Year 1 teaches students how to juggle commercial and creative challenges. The program is demanding in both creative and managerial matters.
During their training in fashion design and creation, students are encouraged to develop their artistic thinking and question their creative choices. Based on a strategy fostering collaboration, the course encourages the exchange and sharing of know-how with students studying in the Fashion Management field of study. Students develop plans for successful collections in which every decision and every creative choice is tested against the business challenges of a fashion house.
Year 1 enables students to tailor the curriculum to their own goals thanks to its innovative structure allowing them to choose several electives. This allows them to further define their career plans and work towards their specialisation in year 2.

Year 2 of Postgraduate Degree – Fashion House Creative Direction
This specialisation is targeted at students who wish to pursue a career in the creative management of collections and fashion houses. The program is broken down into three themed workshops. The creation workshop allows students to carry out research anchored in design, inspiration and imagery. The development workshop aims to give students the opportunity to explore different product variations in relation to the themes studied in the creation workshop. The commercialisation workshop covers all the aspects of a business model: from market research to production and distribution of the products created.
Year 2 of Postgraduate Degree Sustainable Fashion – Design Major
Eco-responsibility and societal impact are taught across all IFA Paris courses. At this stage of the program, students know that it is crucial for a fashion brand to demonstrate eco-efficiency to certification bodies and the general public and to have their products labelled and certified with an eco-label.
Year 2 of Postgraduate Degree Fashion Entrepreneurship – Design Major
This specialisation is a variant of the Brand and Collection Management program, adapted to students who wish to create their own clothing brand and collection. The student is responsible for defining and respecting a progress plan comprising deliverables. At each stage of their work, the teaching teams help them to move forward, overcome difficulties, explore new techniques and strengthen their own creative positioning. The teaching is inverted. The student develops their collection and seeks support when they need it.
Year 2 of MBA Fashion Image and Media Production
This program is geared towards students who want to bring fashion to life through its media, imagery and iconography. The specialisation teaches students about content creation and production. The program brings together IFA Paris’ Management and Creation schools, enabling each student to develop a set of complementary skills. Fashion media shape society and influence one's self-image as readers flick through the glossy pages of magazines or the stylish photos on social networks.
