Rahul Mishra Mini-collection

For this project, our student Khanh Ha Nguyen chose to create a mini collection inspiered by the fashion designer Rahul Mishra. 
Rahul Mishra is an Indian fashion designer based in Delhi. He is the first Indian designer to be invited to showcase at the Haute Couture Week in Paris. Malhausi has showcased his work at fashion weekd in London, Dubai and Australia, in addition to India Fashion Week. He has also become known for incorporating traditional Indian textiles and handmade artisanship to his work.
His designs are often inspired by nature and Indian culture. Some of his work also looks like art itself and is designed by seeking inspiration from marine life, Himalayan forests and abundance in nature. He also impressed by using traditional Indian weaving in his collections. Through the designs, we can see the closeness of nature, plants, flowers dans animals.

Automne 2022 - Couture Collection

Rahul Mishra called his haute couture collection The Tree of Life, recalling a banyan tree growing in the courtyard of his ancestral home, which was tended by his grandmother as a protective force of wisdom and abundance.

• Look 1 : In the first design, our student wanted to use hand-embroidered patternes to create flowers on the fabric background. This also a typical motif of this collection.
• Look 2 : Cotuniuing the signature floral pattern but this time on black sequin fabric. The shirt is stylized with traditional Indian textile patterns.
• Look 3 : The highlight of the third design is that the skirt body is draped with hand-woven and beaded patterns.
• Look 4 : Continuying with sequin fabrics and styles with beading and floral patterns, but this time it's a new look with short pants with stylized waists and off-the-shoulder tops.
• Look 5 : This look is a highlight with its floral pattern attached to the see-through fabric. The sequin short skirt is also embellished with floral patterns.
• Look 6 : The last outfit is hand-embroidered with stones on the see-through fabric. The highlight is the scarf embellished with floral patterns.
