How do I apply for IFA Paris?

When can I apply to IFA Paris?
Recruitment to join IFA Paris takes place on a rolling basis. Applications generally open in October. If you'd like to join our fashion school, don't delay! As the year progresses, the number of places becomes increasingly limited.
Can I apply several times a year?
If the student is not admitted to IFA Paris, he cannot reapply the same year. However, the student can try again the following year by submitting an application.
Can I apply to IFA Paris on Parcoursup?
As a private higher education school, the application and admission process at IFA Paris takes place outside Parcoursup.
How do I prepare for my interview?
To prepare for your interview, think about your career plans and why you want to work in the fashion industry. During the interview, don't hesitate to bring along your personal projects (sketches, completed garments, etc.), which you can use to explain your project in greater detail.
What will I be asked during the interview?
The purpose of the interview is to get to know you, your motivation for joining our fashion school and your career goals, as well as your academic background, past experience in related fields and sources of inspiration.
Can I get into IFA Paris with any type of A-levels?
IFA Paris is open to applicants from all bachelor's degrees and specializations. Each year, we welcome and select students from a wide range of subjects and options: General baccalaureate, technological baccalaureate... But also vocational baccalaureate. More than just a curriculum, IFA Paris pays close attention to students' career plans and their motivation to join our fashion school.
What should I do if I haven't yet obtained my baccalauréat?
If you're a senior in high school and joining one of our Bachelor's programs in Fashion Design or Fashion Business in the fall, you can start your online application and provide your bachelor's degree as soon as you receive it. It's important to start your online application as soon as possible to guarantee your place.
How is the interview organized if I'm not in France?
IFA Paris welcomes students from all over the world and takes time differences into account. The interview will therefore take place either by Skype, by a telephone number you provide, or in some cases by a face-to-face interview if you are near one of our campuses.
My native language is not English. What are the language requirements for full English programs?
For all our programs taught in English, we ask students to provide proof of a sufficient level of English in the form of IELTS or TOEFL (please indicate scores).
Is the admission procedure different depending on my level of study?
Admission to our fashion school varies according to the level of study:
- If the student is enrolling in 1st year, admissions are based on an application and an oral interview.
- If the student is enrolling in 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th year, admissions are based on a portfolio, tests and an interview on motivation and career plans.
Is it possible to talk to other students before joining IFA Paris?
IFA Paris has a powerful network of alumni and current students who will be delighted to share their experiences of studying fashion. A good way to meet the school's alumni is to attend an open house. This is a great opportunity to talk to IFA Paris graduates about their experiences and career paths since graduation!
Do I need to know how to draw or sew before joining IFA Paris?
No, it's perfectly possible to join our Fashion Design & Pattern Making course as a beginner.
